Name: Lucille Frances Ryan.

Parents: Frank (Mayor of Mt. Albert 1968 - 1990) and Julie Ryan (mother and
"ardent suffragette").
Rank/Siblings: 5 of 7 children -
4 older brothers, 1 younger brother and
1 younger sister.
Religious upbringing: Catholic.
Nickname:  UNCO (unco-ordinated).
Childhood Activities:
Play-fighting and rotten apple throwing with siblings, Parental bed tumbling, Pony riding, Gymnastics, On - Coffee -Table -Top Performing (singing, joke telling, dressing up, dancing, stuntwork etc), acting "in public" from age 10.
The Teen Years:
Catholic Education for all but two years before attending Auckland University to study languages and opera.  Went on an opera tour of Europe at age 15 with her mother.Landed a part in a tv commercial while at University. Used the money to satisfy her travel bug by going to Europe in 1987.

Xena and beyond...
Europe & Downunder:
Went grape picking in the Rhine, and lived on coffee & cigarettes until she was "skeletal". Met a fellow NZ'er, Garth Lawless, at Club Mirage.  Became a couple. Ran out of money so returned to OZ and worked as goldminer for 11 months near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (birth-place of J9's Mum). Saved enough money to return to Europe, but became pregnant. 
Married Life:
Married in OZ (wearing her sixth form ball dress), then returned to NZ.  Gave birth to Daisy in 1988. Returned to work - TV commercials, writing & acting in plays, 2 and a half seasons in "Funny Business" & appeared in the short film Peach (1990), before moving to Vancouver to attend the Willam B. Davis (Cancer Man from "X-Files") Centre for Actors Study.
Flying Onto Hercules:
Returned to NZ in 1992 & appeared in "Rainbow Warrior", "High Tide" and as co-host of "Air New Zealand Holiday" travel magazine series. Won the role of Lysia in the first Hercules movie and was invited back to play Lyla in the "H:TLJ" episode "As Darkness Falls".

Endings & New Beginnings:
Was rejected for the role of Xena in a 3 part "H:TLJ" story arc in favour of Vanessa Angel, who became ill, so was tracked down while camping with Garth, Daisy & the flu. Fan response to Xena in "H:TLJ" resulted in the spin-off (& more popular) series "Xena: Warrior Princess". Marriage to Garth Lawless ended in June 1995 just before "X;WP" began airing in US.
The Show Must Go On:
8 Oct 1996 - pelvis broken in 4 places due to horse-riding accident while filming "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno". Xena inhabited Callisto, Gabrielle & Autolycus's bodies while Lucy recovered.  Warrior breast exposed while singing US national anthem at sporting event. Appearance on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" led to role as Rizzo (Rixxo) on Broadway in "Grease" Sep 2 - Oct 19 1997. Cameo appearance in movie smash "Spiderman" in 2002 after the axing of "Xena: Warrior Princess" in 2001.
Married Life 2:
Married "X:WP" executive producer, Robert Tapert on 28 March 1998. Spent their honeymoon fishing !  Mansion purchased in Los Angeles late 1998. 
Warrior Princes:
Gave birth to Julius Robert Bay Tapert on 16 October 1999 and to Judah Miro Tapert on May 2002.
